Seeing everyone love God, love people,

and do something about it!

Gather // Grow // Give // Go

Go & Make Disciples

Spreading the message of hope & salvation wherever we GO

We are called to fulfill the Great Commission &
the Great Commandment:

~in our community
~in our country
~and around the world

Every change in our lives that shows Jesus, affects every person we come in contact with! THIS is the #1 way we reach out with the love and hope of the gospel to every life we touch!

Great Commandment:

‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

(Matt 22:37-39)

Great Commission:

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of th e Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

(Matt 28:19-20)

…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

(Acts 1:8)

Some of the Many Ways We Can GO

At Harvest Time Bible Church, we offer a few options to Go to our community (God’s ideas are endless) in our GO TEAMS. We also support numeorus MISSIONARIES (see below) who Go to our country and to the world.

And you shall by my witnesses…

Sharing the love and gospel of Jesus in our “Jerusalem and all Judea and even to the remotest parts of the earth…”

Boxing Ministry

This ministry preps athletes to be able to box at a competitive level, but most importantly they care about the heart of the athlete and sharing Jesus with them.

Funeral Dinners

The Funeral Dinner Team ministers not only to church members but also community members when they are in their deepest times of grief. Through something so simple such as a meal, the team shows the love of God so that it is one less thing that the families have to think about when they already are going through so much.

Mayfire Ministry

Mayfire helps to build relationships with families who have children with special needs and their siblings. They call the kids in their ministry VIPs, because they are very important people! They partner buddies with the VIPs to give one-on-one attention, share the love of God, and spread the gospel to our Mayfire families.

Sharing & Caring

The Caring and Sharing Team demonstrates God’s goodness and love to people in the community by giving away clothing and household items. As they give tangible items, they hope for the opportunity to share the good news with the local community. They hope to plant countless seeds of hope in the God who loves them and desires to satisfy their souls!

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is very important to Harvest Time. Not only do we collect shoe boxes, we are a local drop where other churches drop their shoeboxes. We then are responsible to get all of those boxes to the local distribution center. It takes a large crew to make this happen.

We Care: Gift Giving

The We Care Team organizes and coordinates to help purchase presents for our friends at  Winning Wheels, S.T.R.I.V.E., Frontier Hollow, & others. Church members purchase presents, then the team must make sure that all presents get turned in and taken to their place of residence.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Every year, Harvest Time puts on a Thanksgiving Dinner for the community. This dinner is for those who may not have the funds to purchase their own dinner or maybe they do not have family in town and do not want to eat alone. This would not be possible without the Thanksgiving Dinner Team!

City Serve: Habitat for Humanity

Harvest Time has a team that partners with our local Habitat for Humanity to help build houses for those who are in need. They use their skills and willingness to jump in and help a project to share the love of Jesus.
(Ron Pritchard Leader)

City Serve: Community Events

City Serve is Harvest Time’s community outreach program where we partner with the Chamber of Commerce and attend various community events – Harvest Time is present in the Sauk Valley Area!
(PJ Leader)

City Serve: Christmas Cookies for First Responders

One of the ways that we serve our community at Christmas time is by baking cookies and taking them to first responders who are working around Christmas time. Through something as simple as a cookie, the Christmas Cookie  team is able to show the love of God with lots of sugar and butter!
(Ron Pritchard Leader)

Colossial Cookie Fundraiser

Our winter cookie fundraiser donates all proceeds to a designated ministry every year. Not only do we enjoy a GIANT cookie, but we help spread the love of Jesus while we chow down!

College Care Packages

In the spring, the Care Packages team gathers donations and creates care packages for our students who are off at college or for those who are serving in the military. These packages are a token to show them, that we love and miss them, and a reminder of how much God loves them!

Blanket Ministry

For those who enjoy crafting, the Blanket Ministry is for you! They meet on Tuesdays to create tie blankets to give to those who are in need. Through their skills and love of crafting, they are doing something about it!

VBS

This is a week-long event where your kids get to play games, dance, sing, and learn more about Jesus! This is a huge event where we need the entire church-body to come together to love on the kids in the community! That’s right – kids from all over Sauk Valley come to our VBS!

Community Praise Night

A collection of churches in the Sauk Valley Area get together to put on a worship service for everyone. This is a communal worship event that breaks down the barriers of all churches. One community. One night of communal praise.
(Aaron Meeks leader)

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a ministry that helps people walk through very difficult times in a person’s life such as substance abuse, grief, codependency, and so much more. Their desire is for a community so that during these hard phases you are not walking through them alone.(Kevin Miller leader)

Training Resources

Do you feel inadequate to share your faith or disciple others? We have resources that can help you grow in confidence and ability to follow the church’s Great Commission.
